Eminem Responds To Machine Gun Kelly In Deadly 'Killshot'
/After Eminem released Kamikaze and simply destroyed everyone in the game, you knew beef was coming. And assuredly, it did - Machine Gun Kelly quickly responded with his fiery ‘Rap Devil,’ with Die Antwoord also pitching in with their less serious response. MGK was out for a fight though, and Eminem has hit back. Eminem responds to Machine Gun Kelly in the deadly ‘Killshot,’ a disstrack that doesn’t hold back.
The beat is simple, so this track is all about the content, and boy is there plenty. The track starts by Eminem “listening” to ‘Rap Devil’ and waiting annoyedly for MGK to be done so he can begin, where he immediately starts answering to him, firstly in response to MGK’s bar about Rihanna in his track, which Eminem promptly responds by offering: “Rihanna just hit me on the text / Last night I left hickeys on her neck.“ ‘Killshot’ is full of deadly bars, both in response to ‘Rap Devil’ and cleverly referencing his past material: “Here's that autograph for your daughter, I wrote it on a Starter cap / Stan, Stan, son, listen, man, dad isn't mad / But how you gonna name yourself after a damn gun and have a man bun,“ where Em compares MGK to the obsessed fan in his hit track ‘Stan,’ going on to roast him further; “Younger me? No, you're the whack me / It's funny, but so true / I'd rather be 80-year-old me than 20-year-old you;“ and “Need to get the cock up out it before we can even talk about it (talk about it) / I'm sick of your blonde hair and earrings / Just 'cause you look in the mirror and think that you're Marshall Mathers / Don't mean you are, and you're not about it / So just leave my dick in your mouth, and keep my daughter out it,“ where he quotes ‘Rap Devil’ itself, are just a few of many examples where Em goes in.
Every line of this track is truly one fired shot after another, Em both destroying MGK and upping himself at the same time. The only real way to understand the gravity of the track is to listen to it - words don’t bring that heat justice. Eminem responds to Machine Gun Kelly in the deadly ‘Killshot,’ and perhaps has already finished the beef with one final deadly blow.
